It is difficult to cool and it wears out fast and unevenly. Even minor wear changes the profile of a forming tool and makes the gloss of the polished edge grow weaker. |  |  | The Edge Robot replaces the forming tool with a diamond disc for grinding and polishing. The rotation direction of the disc is perpendicular to the surface of an edge. This way any scratches on the disc will never affect the polishing outcome. In addition only a very small area of the round disc touches the edge at a time. This makes the cooling extreamly powerful and the production speed increases dramatically.
