Detailed Process Flow

The main process starts from handling of a sales order in Stone ERP suite – ROCK. ROCK is a web-based ERP software for controlling various resources in natural stone countertop manufacturing process. It is an interface to a central database that gathers together all data that is used in the production and in other programs.

In the next process step Stone Trace software is used for importing and completing piece data from AutoCAD drawings (.dxf -files) into the ROCK database. Using Stone Trace all essential piece information must be fed only once and it may be used in all production phases from the first order through cutting and fabrication up to the installation.

In Stone Path the piece information, saved in Stone Trace, is uploaded from ROCK data base to generate cutting programs for Saw Robot. Stone Path is an interface for cutting layout creation. User places pieces on a virtual table and Stone Path automatically generates a program showing it to the user for acceptance.

Robot UI is an interface for sending the program generated in Stone Path to the robot controller and controlling the whole Saw Robot cell. Robot UI shows real time cell data and controls automatically the cell safety system, waterjet pressures, abrasive feeding, table rotation, tool wear measurement system...

Camera Server, Stone Time and Piece Printer are individual additional supporting parts of the Stone Automations software family.

Camera Server allows users to remotely launch a Canon DSLR camera. It is used in Stone Path to capture real images of stone slabs. True image shows natural stone pattern with all its veins and cracks. It helps in cutting path planning to design invisible seams.

Stone Time is a simple timecard application for human resource and working hour management. Stone Time may be used to assign jobs from ROCK data base for a specific employee and to store timecard information into the ROCK data base.

Piece Printer is a solution to create and print room layouts for reference to the countertop installation team. The program may be used likewise to print out other detailed information of the room’s pieces. All layouts and other data is stored to the ROCK data base.
